FAQ
- Is my photo uploaded?
- No. Your photo is never part of a request. The network fetches the encoder itself, which is a few hundred kilobytes of code, and after that everything happens here. The network panel will show you that nothing of yours leaves.
- How much smaller will it get?
- A phone photo at quality 80 typically loses well over half its size before anything is visible at normal viewing. The receipt shows the exact figure for your file rather than a promise.
- Why did my PNG barely shrink?
- PNG is lossless, so there is no quality to trade away. If the picture is a photo rather than a screenshot, converting it to JPEG or WebP shrinks it far more than recompressing the PNG ever will.
- Is there a limit on how many images?
- No counter, no daily quota. The 50 MB cap per file is about what a browser tab can hold, not a plan.
