FAQ
- Is my image uploaded?
- No. The cropping happens in your browser, and the file never leaves your machine. Open the network panel while you use it and watch that no request carries your picture.
- Does cropping lose quality?
- The pixels you keep are untouched. A JPEG has to be re-encoded to be written back out, which costs a little at the edges of the trade, so a PNG or WebP in gives you a PNG or WebP out with nothing lost at all.
- What is the difference between cropping and resizing?
- Cropping throws away the parts of the picture outside the box and keeps the rest at its original size. Resizing keeps the whole picture and changes how many pixels it is made of. If a form wants an exact size, you often want both, and cropping goes first.
- Can I crop to a fixed ratio?
- Yes. Square, 4:5, 16:9, 3:2 and 9:16 are one tap, and free lets the box be any shape. Changing the ratio reshapes the box you already have rather than clearing it.
- Is there a size or count limit?
- One image at a time, up to 25 MB, and no limit on how many you do. There is no account for a quota to attach to.
