ALTERNATIVE TO KAPWING

Kapwing Alternative

reverse and resize, without the upload

Kapwing is a whole editor living in a browser tab, with a timeline, layers and collaborators. This is not that. It does two of the jobs people open Kapwing for, reversing a video and resizing an image, and it does them without your file going anywhere. Kapwing has to upload the file before it can start.

What you stop paying

Kapwing, every month$16 / month
This page, every month$0

This one is free rather than cheap, and the reason is worth knowing: your own machine does every part of the work, so it costs us nothing to let you do it again. That is also why the claim is checkable. Load the page, turn off your network, and reverse a video anyway.

How to switch

  1. 1

    Pick the clip

MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV, up to 500 MB, read straight from your disk.

  2. 2

    It rebuilds backwards

The video is put back together end to start, a few seconds at a time so memory stays bounded. The sound is reversed with the picture.

  3. 3

    Preview, then save

Play it here first. No watermark, no export queue, no sign in before the download.

FAQ

Is my video uploaded?
No. This tool touches no server at all. Load the page, disconnect from the network, and it still works, which is the only privacy claim worth making because it is the only kind you can check yourself.
Is there a watermark?
No. Nothing is added to the picture and nothing is added to the file name.
Then why is there a size limit?
Because your own machine has to hold the video while it works. It is handled in short stretches so memory stays bounded, but a 4K file still asks a lot of a laptop. 500 MB is a line most machines will survive, not one a server imposed.
Which browsers work?
Chrome, Edge and recent Safari. Firefox support is still partial, and the tool says so up front instead of failing halfway through.

Reverse one without uploading it

Nothing leaves your machine. Nothing is watermarked.
